Crafting For Fun & Healing With Segura's Crafts

Hi, I’m Najala Segura—mother of three, Army veteran, dog lover, and wife of 15 years. Segura’s Crafts started as a personal journey during a challenging time when I was navigating PTSD, depression, and grief after losing a fellow soldier and friend. Crafting became my outlet for healing, helping me process emotions, find joy, and rediscover purpose.
Segura’s Crafts is built on inclusivity and choice. While some of our materials are inspired by lessons in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support mindfulness and emotional growth, we also offer fun, creative supplies for those who simply love to craft. My goal is to provide tools that allow people to decide how they want to use them—whether for self-expression, mental wellness, or simply enjoying the art of crafting.
As a veteran, I carry the Army values—Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage—into my business. These principles guide everything I do, from ensuring every product is created with intention to building a community of compassion and connection. Though profit is necessary for growth, my mission is to reinvest success into helping others, ensuring everyone feels they matter and are never alone in their journey.

Segura’s Crafts LLC is more than just a business—it’s a mission rooted in resilience, healing, and honoring the memory of someone who profoundly impacted my life. While my personal journey through PTSD, military service, and recovery shaped the foundation of this company, I cannot take full credit for its creation. The life of Joseph G. Moran played a pivotal role in inspiring me to build something meaningful. His loss was a deeply traumatic experience, but it fueled a determination within me to not only honor his memory but also to live a life that those I care about could be proud of. From the very beginning, my goal has been to ensure that his name and life are not forgotten—that he is remembered not just as another statistic in the Army but as a cherished friend whose story deserves to be told. Through Segura’s Crafts LLC, I aim to create a supportive space for others who may find themselves in the same dark places that Moran and I once faced. This business is my way of offering light and guidance to those who are struggling, helping them find a path out of the darkness and into a life worth living. Segura’s Crafts is not just about crafting; it’s about connection, healing, and transformation—because every life has value, and everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired.
